Illegal music Music burning websites like www.napster.com use to burn illegal music. Napster use to be one of the top CD burning web site until they were shut down. Some people donââ¬â¢t understand that burning CDââ¬â¢s makes the music stars lose lots of money. I asked a teen why did he think CD burning was an important topic, he said ââ¬Å"itââ¬â¢s making the rap stars lose moneyâ⬠, I think he was right. After I talked to him he told me he found his information off of commercials and the web. I asked a student and she replied ââ¬Å"you have to buy the CDââ¬â¢s yourselfâ⬠. This young lady told me she found this information shopping at stores. Me, I think as a matter of a fact I know that it effect thousands of people. I asked a young teen in middle school where did he find his information and he replied ââ¬Å"Music stars have commercials on televisionâ⬠. There are many solutions for kids to do instead of burn music. They can work for the money and buy the CD, they can go to a friends and listen to there CDââ¬â¢s or they can do what kids are suppose to do which is to have fun. All that the music stars want us to do is not burn their music. They want us to buy it legally. Me, I have burned a couple of CDââ¬â¢s illegally. According to the recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) illegal music download sites will never be eradicated. Cary Sherman told BBC News Online that music would always be available for free somewhere on the net. No matter the costly court battles to shut down illegal music sites. From research I found on BBC news one of the chairman Mr. Sherman said, ââ¬Å"Our aim is not to completely eliminate music piracy or illegal peer-to-peer services altogether,â⬠. The people of RIAA say that as long as within reasonable amount of control then we will be happy but we are still a long way from that.
